In 1999, Len and Linda Moeder 'bailed out' of the corporate world and moved from Southern California to Beaver, Kansas (an unincorporated town of about 30 people). Dreaming of their own business, they opened Mo's Place Grill & Bar and went to work. In 2004, following their dream, they obtained a microbrewery license and became a brewpub. Their beers are handcrafted, in small batches, using only malted barley, hops, yeast, and water - and some malted wheat for the Harvest Moon Wheat Ale.
